Moving On to New Adventures & A Little Buzz Around the Web

by Caton March 29, 2015 ~ 3 Comments

Jefferson Memorial

Hi everyone! Cat & Natalie here. We hope you had a good week and better weekend. Cat went to Boston last weekend and next weekend Natalie will be walking around our nation’s capital. She is so excited to take a little trip and have a new experience with her husband. Natalie has been to D.C. twice, but it was quite a few years ago, and her husband has never been so if you have any favorite sites or places to eat, please let us know! (She already tried unsuccessfully to secure White House tour tickets.)

We wanted to share a few of our favorite posts from around the web as always, but we have an important announcement at the bottom of the post too so be sure to scroll down for that info!

Our Favorite Foodie Post

Last weekend I (Natalie) made a big bowl of chipotle chicken salad to be easy lunches this week. I can’t tell you how great it was! It was spicy, flavorful, crunchy, moist (sorry if you hate that word), and a little sweet with the bits of grapes. I added some pecans and used plain Greek yogurt in place of mayo. It was a real winner, and it was easy with a store bought rotisserie chicken. I hope you’ll try it!

Our Favorite Life Advice Post

Cat here. I don’t know if it counts as life advice or not, but I’ve been dying over reading the Huffington Post’s collection of parenting tweets each week. They are hysterical. You can read them here.

My Favorite Travel Post

We have our eyes peeled on information on traveling to Cuba since some travel restrictions are supposedly easing up over there. I know it’s a contested topic, but it’s always been interesting to us mostly because American citizens aren’t allowed there. Here is an article about the potential of Cuba as a travel destination for Americans.

An Announcement

As some of you know, Natalie got a new job in Manhattan and Cat is working on other projects, like building an actual writing coaching class. For all those reasons, we put this website up for sale since we’re working on new adventures. It’s a little bittersweet but we’re happy to announce that we just sold it! We loved working together on this and the design was a true act of love and collaboration between two friends, but we’re also really happy to leave the blog in good hands to another personal finance blogger who we know will take awesome care of our baby here. If you want to keep up with us please follow Cat at www.BudgetBlonde.com and she can put you in touch with Natalie as well.

Thanks for following along on our traveling, organization, and general life journeys! It’s been fun!
